Today Ray Scott, Republican candidate for House District 54 announced that he has received the endorsement of State Senator and Senate Minority Leader, Josh Penry.
“Ray is the right guy for the job. His commitment to vote against tax increases in the Legislature, and defend the principles of TABOR against all assaults make him the candidate that I am supporting in the 54th,” said Penry. “Ray Scott is a real conservative and he’ll fight for our values, and I know that he will study hard to quickly learn the process so that
he can be an effective advocate for his constituents,” Penry continued.
“I am humbled and honored to have the support of Senator Penry,” Scott said. “In his years in the Legislature he has represented us well, and been a fine example of principled, conservative leadership that I hope to emulate.”
Senator Penry’s endorsement is an important addition to the long list of conservative and pro-business organizations and individuals, who have endorsed Ray Scott for House District 54, including: Congressman and past Presidential candidate Tom Tancredo, Colorado Senator Ted Harvey, Colorado Association of Realtors, Associated Builders & Contractors, Rocky Mountain Gun Owners Association PAC, Western Slope Conservative Alliance, GJ Results, Western Slope Patriots, Fruita City Councilman Tim Moss.
Ray Scott is a 40 year resident and business owner in House District 54 he has raised his family and grown his roots in Western Colorado. He has 25 years of energy and mining experience, 15 years experience in real estate and construction. He is a property owner in both Mesa and Delta Counties.
