GOALS
JOBS AND ECONOMY
• Businesses create Jobs. Helping businesses provide jobs will be my #1 priority.
• I will propose to eliminate restrictive drilling legislation and work towards regulation that helps the environment without costing you your job.
• I want to establish an Energy and Technology Center in Grand Junction to attract more High Tech Jobs so our Mesa State Graduates will have gainful employment here in Western Colorado.
• I want to attract a broad range of businesses to the area so we are not so reliant on the Energy Industry, but at the same time we must take advantage of our unique energy resources.
GOVERNMENT
• Too much legislation can stifle growth and limit prosperity. I want to reduce the number of bills passed in our State Government.
• I want to limit the influence of lobbyists and special interests in order to regain control of our Government. Right now part of the log jam of legislation is caused by Special Interests and their pet projects.
• I will lead the charge to roll back the taxes and fees the Ritter Administration has enacted without seeking the approval of the People of Colorado.
• I will work to return the 1600 new hires Ritter approved during the "hiring freeze" to the private sector. I will also lead the way to start privatizing many of the Government programs that should be the responsibility of the
Private Sector.
